Valterri Bottas teases future after Formula One

"What's next?" for Bottas; Finnish driver teases future after F1

16 November at 21:00

Last week, Sauber announced that neither Valtteri Bottas nor Zhou Guanyu would be staying with the F1 team. Nico Hulkenberg signed early on in 2024 with the Swiss outfit, with Gabriel Bortoleto announced for 2025 after the confirmation of Bottas and Zhou. Since then, Bottas has teased on his social media what is next for him, but hasn't given any clear answers yet.

Cryptic clues from Bottas?

Bottas started these social media posts three days after the announcement, with the first captioned "In-villa-ironman. What's next?" with the accompanying video showing the Finnish driver, who has 10 Formula One wins, completing an ironman from his house. This includes a 3.9km swim, a 180.2km bike ride, and a 42.2km run.

The second post Bottas shared was of him and his partner Tiffany Cromwell in front of a Noah's Ark sign, with the simple caption of "What's next?". The next showed Bottas and one of his friends getting a tattoo together, captioned once again with just "What's next?". The most recent bared the same caption, and showed Bottas cycling through some rocky hills.

Rumours have linked the former Mercedes man returning to his old team as a reserve driver, not there has been no official confirmation of his 2025 plans yet, with his "What's next?" tweets giving no indication either.
