Christian Horner can now ignore what the critics say now that Max Verstappen has won his fourth world title. He can even ignore the people who suggested that Red Bull would be better off if Horner left his position due to the controversy surrounding him at the start of the season.

However, Horner decided that he was not going anywhere, and he saw Verstappen prolong his reign as world champion. When he was asked if he had any feelings regarding revenge, he kept his response to a minimum. Answering GPblog, he said, "I think in any adversity, adversity would always galvanise a team, and that's certainly what has happened with this team. And I think that there's huge pride in this championship, that often there's noise or speculation, and all of that's been ignored, most of all by Max".

Horner continued, "He hasn't been distracted; he's just got in and got on with the job, and I think that there's obviously areas that we need to improve for next year and the team's very focused very hard on that and how we build on this for consecutive championships"

Horner is already looking ahead

This was the second time one of Horners' drivers had won four consecutive world titles, with Sebastian Vettel winning his first.

"Yeah, well, look, they're all numbers, and I think you reflect on them at the end of your career. And for me, it's all about the next one now. And so it's great to get this one done. It means a great deal, and you know it's a big result for the team, and everybody in the team is hugely proud of what's been achieved".
