Rumours about the Sergio Perez situation at Red Bull Racing get published every day, but an official announcement is yet to come out. The only driver who knows for certain will be with the Austrians in 2025, Max Verstappen, was also asked about the situation.

Verstappen keeps quiet

According to Sky Sports Germany's rumour, Red Bull have made their minds up: Perez will leave the team as expected, and it is Liam Lawson who will be promoted from VCARB. Officially however, nothing is announced. The driver's who's name is set in stone at the team Verstappen did not share anything either.

Together with MotoGP legend Marc Marquez, the four time world champion was present on the Hangar 7 programme on ServusTV. When asked about his next teammate, he said: "I cannot say now."

Having had now four different teammates at Red Bull since he was promoted in 2016, for Verstappen, it does not really matter who ends up alongside him. "In the end, you have to beat him. I have always had good relations with my teammates. I already have a lot of experience. It is good for the team to have two fast drivers and that they get along well," the Dutchman explained.
