2025 Formula 1 sim racing calendar announced: And this is the prize money!
Formula 1 has announced the sim racing championship calendar, which will be formed by 12 Grands Prix that will take place over three weekends in the first three months of the coming year. Notable names such as Max Verstappen will not take part, veteran Jarno Opmeer is expected to compete in the championship
Having been run each year since 2017, the sim racing championship will count with the presence of all F1 teams in 2025, and the winner's prize for next year will be of a whopping US$750,000. Frederik Rasmussen is the reigning world champion, and he will be looking to defend his title next season from Dutchman Thomas Ronhaar, last year's runner up, throughout the recently announced calendar.
The F1 sim racing championship's calendar will be very similar to that of the real F1 Championship with races in Australia, China, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, starting off the first weekend of the virtual championship. For the following sim racing weekend, Silverstone, Spa, Zandvoort and COTA will continue the virtual championship, which will come to an close with races in Mexico, Brazil, Qatar and Abu Dhabi.
