Iconic Christmas card from Ecclestone with warning message: 'Avoid idiots'
Every year, Bernie Ecclestone sends the now much anticipated and iconic Christmas card, which always holds a message for the Formula 1 world. But this time the former F1 Supremo seems to be holding back, aware of what else would be hanging over his head if he didn't.
For 2024, Ecclestone has chosen a Christmas card featuring a cat enjoying a book, a glass of red wine and a cigar. Above the cat on the card the text following message can be read: ''I have found the road to happiness.''

There, as quoted by Auto, Motor und Sport, also read: ''It was not a peaceful year again and too many people have to suffer without being able to do anything about it. Because the future doesn't promise any improvement, I've found the best way for me to relax. My advice: Avoid idiots. It works,'' concludes Ecclestone's Christmas message.
Bernie Ecclestone's Christmas card is by now a cultural heirloom in Formula 1. For more than 20 years, Ecclestone has sent a Christmas card with a message to the F1 world with elaborate drawings, poking some fun at F1's most prominent figures. Since 2022, Ecclestone has chosen to tone it down and keep things a little simpler and more subtle, where the message is waiting to be found hidden bewtween the lines in the text.
