Arvid Lindblad is doing well to achieve his dream towards making it to Formula 1. After finishing fourth in the F3 standings and top advisor Helmut Marko calling him Red Bull's biggest talent in their junior team, he will compete in F2 next year. Now three years ago, the young driver also told a bold claim to McLaren driver Lando Norris, that could turn out to be true.

Did Lindblad predict his F1 debut in 2021?

Arvid Lindblad joined Red Bull Junior Team in 2022. In 2024, he made his debut in Formula 3, driving for Prema Racing. With 133 points, he finished fourth in the standings, and will drive at Campos next season in F2 alongside Pepe Marti.

Helmut Marko also called the British-Swede driver Red Bull's biggest talent. Lindblad himself does not lack confidence either. In 2021, he ran into Lando Norris at a gokart track, that can be seen in a YouTube video on the McLaren driver's channel.

There, Lindblad told Norris he 'wants the McLaren driver to remember him' and that he 'will see him in five years'. Therefore, Lindblad predicts to reach F1 by 2026. Indeed, Yuki Tsunoda's contract at Visa Cash App RB runs until the end of 2025 and Isack Hadjar will drive his first season for VCARB. As a result, a permanent seat could be on the cards for Lindblad if he performs well in the feeder series, and collects enough points for a super license by the '26 season.
