Unlike in 2023, Max Verstappen was in a championship fight for the title against Lando Norris and McLaren last season. It was a more difficult year for the Dutchman, but he managed to come out on top. Verstappen talked about always improving and whether he has any weaknesses.
Verstappen: 'I don't feel I have any weaknesses'
After the Miami GP, Red Bull Racing's lead in terms of having the best car on the grid began to completely disappear. However, Verstappen was on top of his game, maximising his results week after week to be crowned as champion at the Las Vegas GP, where rival Lando Norris declared his rival has no weaknesses. Asked about Norris' toughts, the driver said: "I don’t feel like I have weaknesses. And of course I will never admit it anyway," he told F1.com.
The Dutchman continued: "But I’m also very open-minded because I know I can always be better, but I also know it’s very hard…I know over a single weekend, people can have unbelievable performances, but it’s about how you can keep very good performance the whole year."
"That has to do with a lot of stuff. I don’t want to go into too much detail, as I’m of course giving away stuff. As a driver, you have to be on top of your game every single time. You need to find what works for you as every single driver is different in their approach, but you do have to understand what works for you," the four-time champion concludes.
