Albert Park make adjustments for the 2025 F1 season opener

Australia and the city of Melbourne are hard at work preparing for the 2025 Formula 1 season opener. For the first time since 2019, the opening of the brand new F1 season will again be held at Albert Park, a tradition since it made its debut in 1996, but halted by the coronavirus pandemic. Work is currently ongoing on the Melbourne circuit to ensure everything is ready in time for the first race of the new season.
In less than two months, the 2025 Formula 1 season will begin on 14 March, with the Grand Prix taking place on Sunday, 16 March. With the Grand Prix getting underway in just seven weeks, adjustments are currently being made to the track, with new kerbstones being installed to the street circuit.
The new kerbstones will be placed in turn six of the Albert Park Circuit, a fairly fast corner on the west side of the circuit in Melbourne. At turn six, drivers typically downshift to around 150 kilometres per hour, before going full throttle through 'turn' seven. As it is a street circuit, the track will continue to be used as normal for through traffic before the race weekend gets underway in March. Check out the photos from Reddit below and see how the new kerbstones are laid out in Melbourne.
