Lindblad continues to dominate and gets closer to F1 super license
Red Bull junior Arvid Lindblad continues making important steps towards securing the super license points on offer in New Zealand. At the Circuit Chris Amon, the youngster won Race 1 this Saturday.
Arvid Lindblad has a clear goal in New Zealand, where he competes in the 2025 Formula Regional Oceania Championship: bring home the title for 18 super license points on his record. In Manfeild, the Briton once again claimed pole position, and already secured victory in the first race of the weekend, while he also set the fastest lap as well. Nikita Johnson and Patrick Heuzenroeder completed the podium.
With his fourth victory driving for M2 Competition, the youngster, who was called by top advisor Helmut Marko the biggest talent at Red Bull's junior academy, now has 199 points in the standings, and a healthy 44-point lead ahead of Zack Soular.
This weekend, a reverse grid and another regular race will follow in the series, so the youngster could earn an additional 55 points. Later on in 2025, after graduating from Formula 3, Lindblad will team up with Pepe Martí in F2 at Campos Racing, following Isack Hadjar's footsteps.
