Mick Schumacher can only dream about
Formula 1. The former Haas
F1 driver, despite currently competing for Alpine in the World Endurance Championship, explained to German broadcaster
RTL that a return to the competition will always be a dream for him.
"No, Formula 1 remains a dream," Schumacher began to the German branch of the channel.
"In my spare time, when I'm in the Alpine racing car or training in the simulator, the priority, with one hundred per cent of concentration, is on the long-distance project," said Schumacher.
This year, the son of seven-time world champion
Michael Schumacher will remain at Alpine's
WEC team.
"We know a lot more about our car now than we did a year ago, but we are still figuring out the final details and tuning everything."In 2024, Schumacher was also
Mercedes' reserve driver, however, in November, it was announced that they will part ways after the season ended. He then confirmed that he will return to Alpine's WEC team in the upcoming season. Schumacher previously completed 44 Grands Prix for
Haas F1, until he was let got after the 2022 season once his contract expired. For the 2023 season, he was replaced by fellow German
