Hamilton dials down Ferrari title hype: "Sometimes things don't align"
Lewis Hamilton is being put forward by many as a potential candidate for the Drivers' title should Ferrari deliver a quick car for the 2025 season, and although the Briton has belief in the Scuderia's magic, he's also aware that to win a championship everything has to fall into place, and that, regardless of the line up, the team and the momentum, doesn't always happen.
Is Hamilton feeling more hopeful than ever regarding his chances at clinching that coveted, and elusive, 8th drivers' crown? "Yes, yes," states the Briton with confidence, before dialing down on the outside world's title-winning expectations. "But I'm also aware there's a lot of drivers that never, ever get to win a World Championship, first and foremost."
"You've seen in the history of the sport where you've got great teams and things don't align and they end up, some of them not winning World Championships," added Hamilton. But, Ferrari is Ferrari, and as such the expectations are always to bring the gold home. "This team already has an insane legacy and they're not short of how many World Championships they've won. So I think, in their DNA, they have that winning mentality."

Regardless of the Scuderia's history, nevertheless, both Hamilton and the Maranello based team will have to fight with tooth and nail against readied and hungry rivals. "[The] competition is fierce and that great, great results from other iconic teams, like McLaren, now Red Bull and obviously Mercedes, it's going to be close up the top."
Will it be difficult? Of course, but the Briton won't be tread the path alone. "I've got a great teammate. The energy that I'm receiving from the team is there's magic here and it's going to still take a lot of hard work and grafting from absolutely everyone, and everyone's putting that in already to achieve it. But it's also about belief. Everyone here dreams of winning with Ferrari. Every single person in this team," concluded Hamilton.
