Sky Sports' Croft is certain: 'Red Bull will not have the best package'

According to Sky Sports' David Croft, Red Bull Racing and Max Verstappen will not win the title in 2025. He believes that McLaren and Ferrari will be too strong in the final season with the current regulations. Croft predicts that the 2025 season will be exciting, with either Charles Leclerc or Lewis Hamilton emerging as the world champion.
Croft: McLaren and Ferrari fastest in 2025
McLaren, based on pre-season testing in Bahrain, seems to have the fastest car. According to Croft, the chances of prolonging the constructors' title are high. "McLaren win the Constructors' Championship, one of the Ferrari drivers will win the Drivers' Championship. I think Ferrari are due a title and I think they will win a Drivers' Championship, but McLaren will have a consistent seat. Red Bull will have a package, a good package, not necessarily sure it's going to be the best package." Croft explained in a conversation with SPORTbible.

Croft was also asked who he believes will be the best newcomer in the upcoming Formula 1 season. With six drivers making their full-season debuts in 2025, it's a tough question. The list includes Liam Lawson for Red Bull, Andrea Kimi Antonelli for Mercedes, Ollie Bearman for Haas, Gabriel Bortoleto for Sauber, Jack Doohan for Alpine, and Isack Hadjar for Racing Bulls.
"The best newcomer of the season, wow! That's a tricky one because there's a lot of them. It's a really hard one. I'm tempted to say Liam will have the biggest impact, but don't count out Kimi for making a substantial impact and maybe even winning a race." Croft concluded.
