Constructors' championship standings after the Australian Grand Prix

F1 Constructors' Standings | McLaren and Mercedes on level terms now

After the 2025 season opener, two teams sit at the top in the constructors' standings. Both McLaren and Mercedes have scored the same amount of points today after the Germans successful 'Right to Review'.

Pre-season predictions seem to be right for the time being, as McLaren had the fastest car at the season opener in Melbourne, Australia. At one point, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri were ahead of Max Verstappen by 16 seconds as well. However, after Oscar Piastri lost control of his car in the final sector as it began to rain again, the Australian finished only in ninth position.

Thanks to Norris' victory, McLaren now have the tiebreaker in their hands, but have the same amount of points as Mercedes, after George Russell and Andrea Kimi Antonelli finished in P3 and P4 respectively. The Italian initially received a penalty, however, that decision was reversed by the stewards.

Thanks to Max Verstappen also finishing on the podium, Red Bull are in P3, even as Liam Lawson crashed out. On the other hand, it was a week to forget for Ferrari, who only earned five points in total.
