Formula 1 team are not worried about freight delays as they make their way to the Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai this upcoming weekend. Their cargo arrived eight hours later than scheduled, but running in FP1 is not a risk, GPblog can report.

An F1 photographer reported that multiple teams were affected by a freight delay on their way to the metropolis. The list included Red Bull Racing, McLaren, Mercedes and Aston Martin as the main victims. After GPblog reached out to several teams, they confirmed that their belongings arrived to the Chinese city by Wednesday afternoon local time.

F1 teams expect no problems

Indeed there was some delay, and indeed now some work needs to be completed so the cars are prepared. But as it was reported by the photographer, the cars are not 'missing'. The teams clarified that they expect no problems to be ready for the first and only free practice for the Chinese Grand Prix.

With a Sprint scheduled, it could make any delay inconvenient, but as it was aforementioned, there are no worries. Should teams still need to rely on additional time to carry out their work, the FIA have already permitted to work an extra 90 minutes before the mandatory curfew would get underway.
