F1 Full Results | Hamilton takes Sprint Qualifying pole position

Lewis Hamilton was the quickest driver in Sprint Qualifying in China. His fastest time was a 1:30.849. Max Verstappen finished in second place, while Oscar Piastri rounded off the Top 3.

After only 60 minutes of free practice at the Shanghai International Track, it was Hamilton who set the quickest lap time, marginally ahead of Verstappen. Oscar Piastri finished in P3, while Charles Leclerc rounds off the second row of the grid, as the Monegasque driver finished two tenths behind his teammate.

Lando Norris only finished in P6, after making a mistake on his second lap, one that he began with a purple first sector. Out of the two Mercedes, George Russell was quicker than Andrea Kimi Antonelli, but the Italian was the only rookie to make it through to the final session.

Liam Lawson had another difficult start. The New Zealander had issues with warming up his tyres, and finished only in P20, as both Racing Bulls cars made it through to SQ2 at least.
