Verstappen reacts in typical fashion after criticism from Hamilton
Lewis Hamilton criticised the communication between Max Verstappen and his race engineer Gianpiero Lambiase in China. Verstappen saw the statements but argued that Red Bull Racing has more important matters on its mind.
"(There) are we totally not concerned. We are busy enough with our car. You arrive at the circuit. It was on social media, of course, everyone reads that, of course, but then you just move on. We have enough problems ourselves on the car that we have to solve."

Consequently, Verstappen did not find Hamilton's statements annoying. "I don't care much about that. I don't care at all," Verstappen stated in conversation with Viaplay.
The problems Verstappen refers to are mainly about his RB21. Indeed, despite finishing second in sprint qualifying, Verstappen was not satisfied with the balance of his car. Although the time was good enough, it was 'not to write home about in terms of feeling', said the four-time world champion.
"The problem is that we are really too slow, only it doesn't look that way actually. We just have to realise that's the case." For the sprint race and the rest of the race weekend in China, Verstappen was therefore not very hopeful. McLaren and Ferrari would simply be too fast for Red Bull, according to the Dutchman.
