Provisional Starting Grid for the 2025 Chinese Grand Prix
Oscar Piastri having achieved his first-ever pole position for a Grand Prix will line up in P1 on the grid, with Mercedes' George Russell by his side, as the Briton managed to pip Lando Norris to P2 in what was a blistering final Q3 lap on his part. Here's the provisional starting grid for the 2025 Chinese Grand Prix.
Despite his best efforts, Max Verstappen was not able to get a starting spot among the top three, with the Red Bull Racing driver will line up P4, next to Norris, with the Ferrari duo, Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc, locking out the third row behind him.
Further back Racing Bulls driver, Isack Hadjar, surprised friend and foe alike, pipping Andrea Kimi Antonelli to P7, with teammate Yuki Tsunoda rounding off what was a wonderful qualifying session for the Red Bull sister team in P9. Behind them, Alexander Albon extracted everything his Williams FW47 had to give earning a himself a spot in the top ten for the second weekend on the trot.
For Carlos Sainz it did not go as well as he could have hoped as the Spaniard was once again soundly beaten by his Williams teammate, falling in Q2 with a lowly P15. Red Bull Racing driver, Liam Lawson, dissapointed once more as his best efforts during qualifying proved to be good enough for the last starting spot on the grid, in P20.
