On Tuesday night, GPblog confirmed that Liam Lawson will replace Yuki Tsunoda for the Japanese Grand Prix. Red Bull Racing's management decided to step in after two disappointing race weekends for the New Zealander. On X, not everyone is impressed with the team's decision.
Internet over driver change Lawson and Tsunoda
Guarantee Lawson will now start succeeding and Tsunoda will struggle.

Idk how Max can handle that car and no one else can but it’s mighty impressive.
Red Bull really need to build a car that both drivers can excel with.
I don’t rate Lawson that highly but he’s not this bad.
Lawson had better race pace then Yuki at RB, but doubting Tsunoda is dangerous, would be hilarious if they were both out in Q1, and Hadjar makes it to Q3.

.
The absolute peak content out of the Lawson/Tsunoda switch is going to be if Lawson, now getting to three tracks he's raced at before, finishes ahead of Yuki for three straight race weekends.

I love Yuki Tsunoda. But replacing Lawson already would be ridiculous and very harsh on Liam.

Tsunoda did deserve the Red Bull promotion for 2025 but sacking liam lawson just after 2 races is a terrible thing.

Red bull should have given more time for him to get used to that tricky car.#Formula1 #JapaneseGP #YukiTsunoda #LiamLawson
Being demoted from Red Bull is not the end of the world.

Gasly and Albon are both leaders of their new teams and Perez, well he's rich and we might see him again.
Lawson can rebuild and Tsunoda said the RB20 was not hard to drive. So he'll do great in the RB21.
Let’s say Yuki Tsunoda replaces Liam Lawson at Red Bull. Why will it be any different? Liam is clearly struggling with a car that even Max finds difficult to drive. Let that sink in combined with everything we’ve heard from Max’s former teammates about how sensitive the car is!
