Norris preparing for unpredictable Canadian GP
- Jake Williams-Smith
Lando Norris says he is prepared for anything ahead of his first ever Canadian Grand Prix.
The Formula 2 graduate will experience the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve for the first time in reality this weekend and says he is fully prepared ahead of the new experience.
The McLaren driver has been unlucky to not score more points this season but points in Monaco for himself and teammate Carlos Sainz has McLaren feeling positive ahead of the race in Montreal.
"I’m very excited to head to Canada and Montreal," Norris explained in the team's preview.
"It will be my first time there and the track is one I’ve always liked driving on the sim. It definitely looks like you can overtake and have a bit more fun there. The racing can be a bit unpredictable at this circuit and the weather often plays a part.
"My focus, as always, is on making sure I’m in a position to take any chances I can for both myself and the team and gaining as much experience of a new track as possible."
