Mercedes fined €5000 for fuel temperature breach in Lewis Hamilton's car

Mercedes have been fined £5000 after breaking Formula 1 technical regulations with Lewis Hamilton's fuel temperature at the Singapore Grand Prix first practice session.
Jo Bauer, a Formula 1 technical delegate, noted that the fuel being planned to be used by the five-time world champion was cooler than what the regulations say it is allowed to be.
"The temperature of the fuel intended for immediate use in car number 44, measured at 17:44 with FIA approved and sealed sensor, was more than eleven degrees centigrade (20.3 degrees celsius) below the ambient temperature recorded by the FIA appointed weather service provider one hour before the first free practice session (32 degrees celsius), this not being in compliance with Article 6.5.2 of the 2019 Formula One Technical Regulations," the notification said.
"I am referring this matter to the stewards for their consideration."
Mercedes have now been fined €5000 for the incident.
