Daniel Ricciardo says podiums are possible in 2020!
Daniel Ricciardo says that there is a chance he can score a few podiums in 2020 following a slightly underwhelming year in 2019. Renault began the year looking to build on their promising 2018, but fell back in the order, with P4 in Italy Ricciardo's best finish of the season.
The French team will be aiming to take the fight to McLaren in 2020, who secured one podium, courtesy of Carlos Sainz in Brazil.
There were two further midfield podiums in 2019, with both going to Toro Rosso, Daniil Kvyat in Germany the first and Pierre Gasly in Brazil the second.
Ricciardo told the Formula1.com website: "I think we can get this going next year for where we can still believe in 2020.
“Yeah it’s a stretch, but I do believe that if we do what we believe we can, it’s still there.
"This season hasn’t taken any wind out of our sails, it’s just a bit more fuel for the fire. It has not been disheartening."
