Red Bull confirms: "Verstappen will drive RB16 during film day"
On Wednesday morning, Aston Martin Red Bull Racing presented Max Verstappen's and Alexander Albon's racing car for the 2020 Formula 1 season. The RB16 will be the second Red Bull Racing car to hold a Honda engine. Later today, the car will start adding to the mileage counter with a shakedown around Silverstone Circuit.
Verstappen is the driver who will take a seat in the RB16. Red Bull announced this in a statement: "Today the RB16 is let loose in the hands of Max during the Team's official filming day at Silverstone Circuit, as teammate Alex watches on awaiting his turn at next week's Barcelona test."
One 100km are allowed to be driven on film day. An opportunity which each team gets once a year.
"We are going to start full again with where we ended last year, with our iconic matte livery. We are going to prepare ourselves for the 2020 Formula 1 season."
Christian Horner and Helmut Marko's team drove the first kilometres of the year last year with a camouflage livery, that is probably not the case today.
