Ricciardo won't take on the digital challenge with Verstappen

Where Daniel Ricciardo uses his time with training and all kinds of other activities in Australia, Max Verstappen can mainly be found in the sim. The Dutchman participates in a lot of digital races and is also quite successful in them. In the past few weeks other drivers have also entered, but Ricciardo doesn't feel the need to participate as well.
Not productive enough
Ricciardo thinks that digital racing is too time-consuming, as he doesn't have much experience with it. If he wants to beat Max Verstappen, he has to spend a lot of time on it. He says to The New Daily: “I just know with my competitive nature, if I got one, I’m going to be spending hours on it a day. And before you know, I’m missing training sessions, racing these Sims and I feel that the training is more productive”
Clear language, he won't take on the digital challenge. It takes him too much time and on top of that Verstappen spends an extraordinary amount of time in the sim and therefore has a lot more experience. This would make too big a difference, says Ricciardo.
“He’s all about the sim stuff. I wanna say he’s spending more than 50 per cent of his waking day in one. So yeah, I’m not there [against him].” Whether he'll ever cross over is not in line with expectations, because the odds he's taking on Verstappen digitally are “slim, I’d say.”
