'Teams with a maximum of 60 people and completely separated on circuit'

At this moment organisers are thoroughly investigating whether the Austrian Grand Prix can take place on July 5th and under what conditions that event can take place. For the time being it is unclear what exactly that race weekend will look like, but the teams seem to have already been informed about some things.
Former F1 driver Giedo van der Garde found out when he asked a source within the Renault Formula 1 team. He gave some details of the demands made on the teams in the preliminary plans in the Formule 1 Café talkshow on Ziggo Sport.
"If the Grand Prix goes ahead, only 60 men per team will be allowed to go to the circuit. Then 20 more will be flown in, they will stay in the hotel and will be deployed in case people get sick. There is no team catering and there are no motorhomes", said the former Caterham driver.
Teams completely separated
So they're going to do everything they can to have as small a group of people as possible on the Red Bull Ring. It is also important that there is as little contact as possible within that group and to reduce the risk of infection with COVID-19. The teams may therefore not come into contact with each other.
"Before they go there, everyone is tested and all teams are given staggered times to go to the circuit. Red Bull Racing for example at eight o'clock and AlphaTauri at a quarter past eight. They don't meet at all then. And if there is a second race, only the people who did the first race are allowed to do that second race", Van der Garde concludes.
