McLaren can't have a spare driver in the worst case

If Lando Norris or Carlos Sainz can't race because of the coronavirus, McLaren could get into a lot of trouble. In the worst case they don't have their own reserve driver.
Formula 1 will start again, but with the coronavirus a lot of measures had to be taken. If someone gets infected, they won't be able to participate in the race. Spare drivers are therefore more important than ever and there is a problem with McLaren, which has a deal with Mercedes.
McLaren and Mercedes
''We had an agreement with McLaren before the season started that if one of our riders drops out, we can use their reserve drivers. That would be Stoffel Vandoorne and Esteban Gutierrez. Mercedes always has a head start in case of emergency," says Andreas Seidl to Auto, Motor und Sport.
There is not a very good chance that Hamilton and Bottas will become infected with the coronavirus and even then a driver of McLaren will have to be infected. So the chance is small, but in the future McLaren will perhaps think twice before they make a deal with another team as far as the reserve drivers are concerned.
