The Formula 3 race in Spielberg has been stopped because of the weather conditions. Several drivers came next to the track, so the F3-cars had to drive into the pitlane. The weather conditions were so severe that normal racing was not possible anymore. There are still several events planned in Spielberg, including FP3 and qualifying for F1.

The question remains to what extent this session can continue. So the first real race on the Red Bull Ring has been stopped, after fifteen out of 24 laps. If qualifying and the third free practice session can't go ahead, that's good news for Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing. If no qualifying session can take place on Sunday morning either, Verstappen will be allowed to start from pole position.

More clear soon

The FIA will soon make more clear about the passage of the F1 sessions. The F2 race is also in jeopardy now that there is such heavy rainfall. So far nothing is clear about the situation of either the F1 or the F3.

Update 11:07

The Formula 3 race has been cancelled completely after 14 out of 24 laps. The heavy rainfall only seems to get worse and it currently looks bleak for the rest of the program on the Red Bull Ring. At 11 o'clock the third free practice session is scheduled for Formula 1, but it remains to be seen whether this will continue.
