Honda: "Happy that Verstappen managed to get first podium of the season"

Toyoharu Tanabe is a satisfied man after the Styrian Grand Prix. The technical director saw that his Honda had a much better weekend than last week. Tanabe says it would have even been possible to finish four Honda engines in the top-ten on Sunday.
"Today we had the second race in a week on the Red Bull Ring and we are happy that Max Verstappen managed to get the first podium of the season", says Tanabe on the Honda website. The Japanese engine supplier says there have been no noteworthy problems this week.
Honda says it has also worked on improving the performance of the power units. "As a result, we saw all four Honda-powered cars finish the race, three of them finished in points." Only Pierre Gasly of AlphaTauri didn't finish in the top ten. "He showed a good pace, but after contact with another car he sustained some damage. I'm sure he'll fight back next weekend."
Heat in Hungary
Next week we're already driving in Hungary. At the Hungaroring in Budapest it will probably be a lot warmer than the last weeks in Spielberg. That should work to the advantage of Red Bull Racing. "The forecast is for very hot weather, so part of our preparations will be to pay close attention to cooling," Honda looks ahead briefly.
