Ecclestone isn't the owner of Williams after all

Williams announced last week that it was acquired by Dorilton Capital. However, the amount has been transferred by BCE Limited, causing alarm bells to ring with many people. Is Bernie Ecclestone buying Williams?

The problems at Williams have been going on for years and have ensured that the brand is now completely repurchased. Dorilton Capital bought Williams over for £120 million, but the amount was transferred by a fund sponsored by Dorilton Capital: BCE Limited.

Those initials provided a link to Bernie Ecclestone, who in the past ran teams himself and would have the financial resources. BCE are also the initials of Bernie, but unfortunately fans of the eccentric Briton can't cheer yet. Claire Williams has let it be known that Bernie is not the new owner.

"I spoke to Mr. Ecclestone this week and asked him if he is behind it. No, that's a joke of course. He's not behind it. Bernie has nothing to do with our new owners. Dorilton Capital is completely independent. I'm still in my place here and I'll just keep doing my job," says Williams according to Autosport.com.
