The Russian Grand Prix is expected to be the first race where again an audience will be present at a Formula 1 event, but also the Grand Prix of Tuscany on the circuit of Mugello, are aiming for 3,000 spectators.

The Formula 1 season has been turned upside down by the coronavirus. Not only was the season postponed, but the entire calendar was changed as well. F1 has already driven several times on one circuit, but new circuits have been confirmed for later in the year. The first one is Mugello and that circuit hopes to welcome fans.

Grand Prix with public

"The circuit has three very large and well separated grandstands, therefore the limit of 1000 people required by national regulations for public events can reasonably be considered as the capacity limit for each grandstand. With our regulation, after hearing the opinion of the health experts of the region of Tuscany, we are working for a maximum capacity of 3 000 people'," Tuscany President Enrico Rossi told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"The rules will be in line with the national rules foreseen for such events," adds Rossi's spokesperson, Alfonso Musci.

"What I can say is that there will be special parking spaces, body temperature measurement, gaps, masks and access reserved for the public. The plan was presented by the general director of the circuit (Paolo Poli, ed.) and was evaluated by the regional manager responsible for the collective prevention sector, who was then responsible for writing the regulation," the spokesperson added.
