Albon relieved after nerve-racking session: "Get a lot closer to Verstappen"
Alexander Albon lived the whole qualification on the brink of collapse. In both Q1 and Q2 he went only just made it to the next session. In Q3 he didn't get any further than ninth place.
Albon closer to Max, but further from pole
"It was busy. I'm relieved that I still made it to Q3, because each time it was a close call. As far as my driving is concerned, I am reasonably satisfied this weekend. I am now a lot closer to Max. That is positive, but we are a lot lower than we would like to be.
Albon has nothing to complain about within the team, in that respect they have made the most of it at Red Bull Racing. "In the first run in Q3 Max gave me the drag and in the second run I did the same for him, so it was the same as in Spa actually. That went pretty well, I'm ok with ninth place," Albon said to Ziggo Sport.
