Marko is still behind Albon: "He is fast in equal circumstances"
During qualifying for the Tuscan Grand Prix, Alexander Albon achieved his best performance on a Saturday, with fourth-place. Helmut Marko, therefore, hopes that there will be less criticism of his driver.
So far, Alexander Albon has had some tough weekends in 2020. Not only during qualifying or in the race, but also during practice. This weekend, the Red Bull Racing driver has finally had a number of sessions without any problems.
Not only is Albon satisfied with that, but Helmut Marko as well. “We are happy that he has finally had some normal practice. However, he still had an engine change from FP3 to qualifying," Marko tells Sky Germany.
The candidate for Red Bull Racing
“He is fast when he has the same conditions as Max Verstappen and things are running normally. I hope that there will finally be some peace after all that talk," Marko continues.
According to the Austrian, only one thing is clear: "The same is still true for us: as long as Alex meets expectations and continues to develop, he is our candidate."
