'Ferrari puts new simulator into service before the end of the year'

Ferrari still has a long way to go if it wants to qualify for Grand Prix victories again. That much became particularly clear in the last few Grands Prix, in which it was not even entitled to points at pure speed. On top of that, it is not so easy to make up for lost time nowadays.
Infinite testing was banned a long time ago, and the time that one can spend in the wind tunnel is also being increasingly limited. That is why teams are making increasing use of virtual aids when developing their cars. The simulator plays a crucial role in this.
Ferrari's goal is to bring the simulator into use as early as 2020
In order to be back at the front in 2022, when the new regulation comes into force, Ferrari has therefore invested in a new simulator. According to Corriere della Sera, the team is on schedule to put it into service by the end of this year.
It is certainly important that the technology for this is up to date. If the correlation between what is developed with the aid of the simulator and reality differs even slightly, the speed on the track will be greatly affected.
