Driving too fast or too slow
In the event of a red flag situation, according to Article 31.6 of the sporting regulations, the intention is that drivers immediately go off the gas and immediately go to the pit lane. It could therefore be that Magnussen has driven too fast or has driven a lap too long, although the latter seems very unlikely.
Nowadays, however, there is also the rule that drivers must maintain a minimum speed in a red flag situation, just like behind the safety car. So it could also be that Magnussen drove too slowly.
Kevin Magnussen has been summoned before the race stewards for a breach of Article 31.6, related to red flags. Not quite sure yet what regulation he's being investigated for. #F1 #AbuDhabiGP pic.twitter.com/FoJACKqzR2
