The MotoGP season will begin very soon. The teams are busy announcing the riders. So today the KTM team revealed who will be riding their bikes.
Two old friends make up the KTM team. The Austrian brand announced that Brad Binder and Miquel Oliveira will be the line-up for this year. With Motorsport-Magazin.com the South African Binder says he has confidence in next year. “I am very confident that we can win the world championship. We have a competitive package, we proved that last year. And I see us only getting better in the future.”
Good understanding
With that, Binder is referring to KTM's first win in the MotoGP last year. Binder crowned himself the winner in the Czech Republic. Oliveira shares that opinion but is a little more cautious. “I think I have what it takes to win a World Championship title.”
Binder and Oliveira know each other well. They rode together for several years. In the smallest World Championship class and Moto2, they already shared a pit box. Oliveira is positive about the cooperation. "Brad and I have a good relationship. He is an honest and straightforward guy. I think our relationship in the pits will be good." Binder also tells something similar. "Miguel and I have been teammates on and off for many years and have always got on well."
