Rosberg winks at Verstappen after his sharp comment in press conference
- GPblog.com
Nico Rosberg argued last week that Max Verstappen is only learning to realise how good Lewis Hamilton really is this season, but the Limburger himself didn't quite agree. The Red Bull Racing driver briefly put the 2016 world champion in his place in the press conference by saying he didn't need Rosberg to understand how good Hamilton was. Now it's the German's turn again.
In a conversation with The Telegraph journalist Erik van Haren Rosberg says Verstappen doesn't need any more tips from him, although the 35-year old former Mercedes driver adds with a wink: "Although by now I can also tell you what it's like to beat Lewis in Extreme E."
New battle between Hamilton and Rosberg
Extreme E is a new racing class where victories are fought over with electric SUVs. Rosberg and Hamilton both have their own teams and, as in seasons with Mercedes, there is plenty of fight. "As if it had to be this way, indeed. In qualifying, semi-finals and finals, our teams were fighting each other." The first round of the championship was eventually won by team Rosberg.
Extreme E draws plenty of attention to issues such as equality, diversity and the climate. Sustainability, therefore, plays an important role, something Rosberg and Hamilton both try to work hard for.
