After qualifying, the biggest worries in the paddock seemed to be with the Haas team. Mick Schumacher' s crash seemed to have caused damage to the rear of the car, and if that needed to be repaired, the German could start from nineteenth instead of fifteenth. Luckily for him Haas came with good news, and AlphaTauri with not so good news.

For where Schumacher avoided a grid penalty, the same was not the case for Yuki Tsunoda. Because of his crash, early in Q1, the gearbox and floor had to be changed and also changes were made to the setup around the suspension of the car. Therefore the Japanese will not start from twentieth and last place, but from the pitlane.

The advantage for Tsunoda?

In The document of the FIA states that the gearbox, the floor and the setup have been changed since the start of Parc Ferme and this is against the regulations. The advantage for AlphaTauri is that they can now change everything on the car and with a wet track this could be a good thing for the Italian team.
