During the final third of the race, Max Verstappen was chasing his Mercedes rival for the race win. In the closing stages, Lewis Hamilton felt the pressure as the Dutchman looked to overtake. Nico Rosberg was left surprised by an "unusual" style from Hamilton.

Verstappen started from pole position but ran wide during the opening sequence of corners. This allowed Hamilton through into the lead. The 2016 World Champion believes this was due to a lack of preparation from Verstappen.

"Turn one, it was clear Max took too much risk and speed. Maybe lack of preparation with the 40km wind. Low grip was always going to happen. Bit of a mistake there, but then on just an awesome job from Red Bull. Some rather big mistakes from Mercedes on strategy," Rosberg said on Sky Sports.

Unusual from Hamilton

If there's any former driver who knows what Hamilton is like during duels on the track, then it's Rosberg. The former teammate of Hamilton reviews the late move.

"Unusual from Lewis, close the dam door! No? Usually, Lewis is the best one to one racer. I'm surprised he didn't try, at least try and brake late. A bit soft from Lewis somehow," he added.
