Red Bull Racing have announced that their Head of Aerodynamics, Dan Fallows, will leave the team. He will become the new technical director of Aston Martin's Formula One team.

Red Bull Racing have announced in a press release that they have confirmed the departure of Dan Fallows. He will become the new technical director at Aston Martin, after 15 years at Red Bull. Fallows joined the aerodynamic team in 2006 as team principal, and has played a key role in taking the team to the top. He has held the role as Head of Aerodynamics since 2014.

Red Bull loses leader

''It goes without saying that Dan will be missed as he has played an important role during his time at Red Bull Racing and I would like to thank him for his contribution towards the Team’s successes. We do however recognise that the chance to take on the role of Technical Director within a Formula One team is an appealing next step in his career. In turn, this move creates exciting internal progression opportunities as we look to the future and draw from the wealth of talent within the wider Team'', Horner said in the press release.

The press release concludes by announcing that Fallows will serve out his contract with Red Bull until the end of 2021, ensuring the team's positive start to 2021 won't be disrupted. F1 journalist Mark Hughes, however, revealed via Twitter that Horner claims Fallows will not be leaving 'for the next few years'.
