The first day of the weekend at Zandvoort is over. The Friday provided a lot of spectacle, with three red flags and striking results from for example Ferrari. After the first race the reactions of the drivers trickled in. In this case it was mainly about the circuit on which they raced.
The majority of the drivers were very pleased with Zandvoort and the circuit they trained on today. Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen, Sergio Perez and Carlos Sainz showed that they enjoyed the first day at Zandvoort. Below some reactions of drivers and ex-drivers.
Lewis likes it so much he stopped on the track during P2 and got out of his car to get a better look at it.
What an incredible Formula 1 party it is at Zandvoort. Amazing track, electric atmosphere created by an amazing Orange Army. Daniel Ric said he had the idea he just had driven a race on raceday but it was just friday. Even Lewis is enjoying himself unexpectedly to the Max. Perfect after the disappointment in Francorchamps.
It was an amazing experience to have driven at that track in my life. One of my favorites to drive.
