Antonio Giovinazzi's F1 adventure is over. The Italian will not race for Alfa Romeo in 2022. The driver will most likely not stop racing yet. His name is already linked to the Dragon Penske Formula E team.

Giovinazzi to Formula E

Rumours are rife that Giovinazzi will make a switch to the electric version of the Formula class. F2 driver Guanyu Zhou has knocked the Italian out of F1, so he's looking at his options.

According to The-Race.com Jay Penske's Formula E team and Giovinazzi's management are already in talks. The move would be supported by Formula E chiefs among others.

Similarly, the online medium writes that the Formula E management, consisting of Alejandro Agag and Alberto Longo, attended the last F1 race in Brazil. They are said to have spoken to the Giovinazzi camp there.

Dragon Penske

The Penske team has already confirmed Sergio Sette Camara for a second consecutive season. The second seat is still open, partly because negotiations with Daniil Kvyat have broken down.

The teams have to announce their final line-up before December 3, so it is expected that there will be more news about Giovinazzi's future this week or next.
