Alexander Albon has been under a lot of pressure at
Red Bull Racing throughout the season.
Pierre Gasly's recent victory in sister team AlphaTauri has not helped. Yet the young Thai is not worried about his position at Red Bull.
Where Gasly managed to win after a crazy
Italian Grand Prix, Albon could only manage 15th. With the 25 points that Gasly collected with his win, the Frenchman is now five points behind Albon in the championship.
No change at Red Bull
Albon says he is not worried about his position within Red Bull.
"The process remains the same. For my part; I look at my recent races and all I see is progress. I am happy with how it is going. The good times will come and I'm sure that if the opportunity presents itself I can show what I've got," Albon says to
Motorsport.com.
Red Bull's team management already announced last week that there will be no exchange between Gasly and Albon. "When you join a top team you want to do well, because it gives you the opportunity to win and get on the podium. If you're talking about extra pressure, it comes purely from within," concludes Albon.
