Alonso believes "There is no better driver in Formula 1" than Max Verstappen

Two-time Formula One world champion Fernando Alonso believes that there is currently no better driver in the sport than Max Verstappen. The Dutchman made his F1 debut in 2015, going on to win seven races since.

The 22-year-old is enjoying a strong season for Aston Martin Red Bull Racing and is currently fourth in the drivers' standings, 14 points behind Charles Leclerc of Ferrari.

"There is no better driver in Formula 1, it is not possible to analyze every aspect," Alonso told Formula Passion.

"You have to see who is the best within a few years. 

"Today I like to follow Max Verstappen because he is always in attack mode and this is good for the spectators."

Whilst Verstappen is still some way off becoming a Formula One champion, he's certainly got the backing of the experienced Spaniard.
