After another race in which
Fernando Alonso squeezed every bit of performance he possibly could in a damaged car which already wasn't very quick, the Spaniard said that other drivers don't realize that they're on a track with others, as they drive too aggressively.
Alonso somehow managed to score good points for
McLaren, even though he had to come in early as he had a double puncture. After that, he drove the rest of the race with a heavily damaged floor, but still, the two-time champion ended within the points (and somehow out-performed Stoffel Vandoorne again).
"It was another fantastic race," Alonso told Sky Sports F1 with a smile on his face.
"Unfortunately we had heavy damage on the floor of the car, but we still managed to be competitive.
"We took a lot of risks, and with a bit of luck that all went well.
"A lot of credit to the hard work we put in as a team."
On the team radio, Alonso had some negative comments about his fellow drivers, and he didn't back down from that after the race either.
"People prefer to crash than to back down a little," the Spaniard said about the carnage in the first turn of the race.
"It's crazy how some people drive.
"They don't seem to realise that they're on a track with other people."
