Maurizio Arrivabene, boss of Ferrari has denied that he is set to switch one Italian superpower team for another. There had been reports that he was set to leave Ferrari at the end of the season to take up a full time position with Italian football giant Juventus.
Juventus have had much more success than Ferrari in recent years, winning the last seven Serie A titles and reaching two Champions League finals in four years.
Ferrari are set to miss out on the drivers’ and constructors’ titles yet again to Mercedes, and this constant failure was rumoured as a reason for Arrivabene considering quitting.
He has accepted blame if Ferrari do not win titles this year but has denied the reports that he will be taking up a full-time role with the Turin based football team.
He told Gazzetta.it: "I am at Ferrari and my future will be here.
“I am a member of the board of director of Juventus and I am honoured to have this position in the club.
"I hope my nomination for the new board of directors will be accepted, but my job remains here in Ferrari.”
Ferrari trail Mercedes by 50 points in the Constructors’ Championship, the title they are most likely to win this season.
