So far it doesn't look like it's going to be
Valtteri Bottas' weekend. With
Lewis Hamilton's absence, he has a good chance of winning the
Sakhir Grand Prix, but so far
George Russell has kept him behind.
Still, Bottas himself was not dissatisfied with his performance on Friday. He also suggested he was pleased with his season as a whole.
Step forward towards Hamilton
"I've taken a step forward compared to Lewis," he said to
Motorsport-Total.com.
"On average, my race pace was much better than Lewis' in the race." He continued: "There were a few strange races, these are hard to compare. But in the normal races the gap between us was small, if there was a gap at all. I'm glad we've finally made progress, especially with my driving style."
