Formula 1 pundit
Martin Brundle has expressed his desire to once again meet the version of
Valtteri Bottas he interviewed following the Finn's victory at the opening race of the season in
Australia.
Bottas dominated in Melbourne to get his season off to a perfect start and afterwards Brundle interviewed the
Mercedes driver and described his "wild eyes" he saw when speaking to him.
However, his team-mate
Lewis Hamilton has won five races in succession now after Bottas won two of the first three races of the campaign. In his
Sky Sports column, Brundle said what he wanted to see of Bottas.
"Bottas needs to urgently find that guy with wild eyes who I interviewed as the winner of the Australian Grand Prix, and invite him back into the cockpit," Brundle said.
"Lewis has the clear upper-hand and he hasn't even reached the summer break yet, after which he tends to get really fast." Bottas is now without a win since his sensational performance in Azerbaijan - where the Finn dominated from start to finish - and is 36 points behind his Mercedes team-mate in the drivers' standings.
