Valtteri Bottas started the season strong with a victory in Austria. However, since that race, the Finn hasn't been on the top step of the podium and has fallen back behind
Max Verstappen in the championship. Bottas must now attack if he is to have any chance of winning the title.
Now or never
In Monza, it will again be between the two Mercedes drivers for the victory.
Lewis Hamilton will start the race from pole position and Bottas will start second.
"It's now or never," says
Sky Sports F1 reporter and former
McLaren driver
Jenson Button.
"When your team-mate's on pole and you're both so much quicker than everyone else, it's going to be a really tough race. He has to try something on Lap 1, otherwise I don't know how he's going to do it," continued Button.
Victory in Italy
Clearly, now that the
Formula 1 season is almost halfway, Bottas has to do something to still have a chance of winning the world title. A victory in Italy will give the Finn a big boost.
