Charles Leclerc is looking forward to the Belgian Grand Prix. The Ferrari driver will start from pole position as Max Verstappen has been dropped to sixth due to a grid penalty. Leclerc is going for the win, he told the Driver Parade.
The Monegasque was reminded that the last time he started on pole position in Belgium, he also won the race. It was his first-ever Grand Prix victory in 2019. "That is indeed a good sign, although we were in a different position then. Red Bull will be a lot stronger than us in the race."
Leclerc looks at the weather with an oblique eye. The teams have also been able to do few laps in dry conditions and have not had any real free practice. "We really don't know what to expect today, but it will be exciting," he said. Despite the fact that Red Bull is likely to be faster, he has a clear goal in mind: "I'm going to do everything I can to repeat 2019."
