Despite warnings from the organisers of the
Miami Grand Prix towards the former US president, Donald Trump will still be present during the race on Sunday. He was spotted in the paddock talking to big names from
Formula 1.
Donald Trump wanted to rent out a paddock suite during the Miami Grand Prix to hold a fundraiser for political purposes. The organisers of the Grand Prix subsequently put a stop to this, stating that this was definitely not their intention and was in violation of their licence agreements.
Donald Trump still present in Miami
Despite this rejection, the former US president will still be a guest at the race in the US city. Spotted in
McLaren's garage, the 77-year-old Republican was there in conversation with two high-powered
Formula 1 figures.
Trump was in conversation with
FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem, as well as
F1 CEO, Stefano Domenicali, in McLaren's garage, in sight of several journalists. What the conversation was about is unclear, but both men welcomed the former president warmly.
