McLaren has extended their lead in the
Formula 1 Constructors' Championship over
Ferrari. There are now just two Grands Prix remaining on the schedule. The
Qatar Grand Prix will take place on Sunday, with the
Abu Dhabi Grand Prix concluded the season next weekend.
With smart team work, McLaren scored the maximum 15 points with a
Oscar Piastri led one-two finish. The Ferrari drivers couldn't overtake
George Russell, but did manage to score nine points. Therefore, McLaren extended by six points and now lead by 30 points. Red Bull lost out, with
Sergio Perez failing to score.
Max Verstappen scored just one point.
Mercedes also did well during the sprint race. Future teammates
Lewis Hamilton and
Charles Leclerc had a duel, with the man from Monaco getting the advantage. With Russell in third, Mercedes scored a total of nine points.
